Las Vegas Fashion Designer, Wanda Potter-Merritt is a Native Nevadan. Since a young girl, Wanda had aspirations of becoming a fashion designer; however Las Vegas was not a city with very many opportunities in the fashion industry. Therefore, Wanda did not follow the path of the traditional designer, instead earned a Degree in Business.

Wanda went on to own and operate a Tailoring and Custom Design Boutique, where she designed and created custom evening gowns.  Wanda’s aesthetic is classic sophistication; her designs blend styles from the past with modern fashion.  Her staple pieces can be mixed and matched to accommodate any occasion.

In 2009 Wanda threw caution to the wind, when she created and launched her first (Mid-Night Glow) collection to a standing room only crowd.  In 2011 Wanda founded Vegas Couture, LLC, a women’s wear brand. Vegas Couture is defined by its fusion of craftsmanship and attention to detail.   Wanda is currently a member of the Las Vegas Fashion Council, whose goal is to bring a fashion industry to the State of Nevada. In the spring of 2012, Wanda along with other members of the Design Council showcased their fashions before a record crowd at the elaborate World Market Center.

In 2014 Wanda showcased her designs at Nevada’s first Vegas Fashion Project - Emerging Designers Boutique Convention that exhibited Local emerging designers. Additionally, she was selected as feature designer for Land Rover's Annual Models for Mutts Event, then selected and showcased as a RAW natural born artist (a nationwide organization). Wanda was chosen from a select few as an emerging designer by Nineteenth Amendment (a fashion funding organization who supports talented emerging designers).
